Maki Kawamura, MD / 川村真妃

Dr. Kawamura, MD graduated from Tokai University School of Medicine. After working at Mie University Hospital, Suzuka Central Hospital, and Jikei University Hospital, she was appointed as Executive Director of the Goi Peace Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation. Aiming to create a sustainable and peaceful global society where the dignity of life and respect for diversity are upheld, Dr. Kawamura promotes the creation of networks that bring together wisdom from all fields, including education, science, and culture.


After joining Kawamura Hospital of the Shuhokai Medical Corporation, Dr. Kawamura became involved in establishing the NPO Sachi House and the palliative care ward "Ima Koko." Currently, while working as a palliative care physician at the palliative care ward "Ima Koko" and at Sachi House Fuji—a second home for cancer patients, Dr. Kawamura is devoted and engaged in creating places and systems that allow anyone, even if they become ill, to live valuing what is important to them until the very end through activities such as creating the "414 (Yoishi= rhymes with  “good death” in Japanese) Card" and the "After I Die Card," as well as giving lectures.
