Takayuki Shiose

Born in 1973, Shiose graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Kyoto University and holds a doctorate in engineering. He specializes in systems engineering and has served as assistant director in charge of technology strategy at the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry's Industrial Technology Policy Division since July 2012, returning to Kyoto University in July 2014. Shiose conducts numerous workshops, including career education for elementary and secondary schools and training for innovators in corporate settings. In 2017, he received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology Award for Science and Technology Promotion. His co-authored works include Designing Questions: Facilitating Creative Dialogue and Inclusive Design: Participatory Design for Solving Social Issues (Gakugei Publishing).
