
Narumi Yoshikawa
Narumi Yoshikawa is a professor at the Prefectural University of Hiroshima and a founder of the Human and Natural Resource Management Institute of Waseda University.
She has a unique career working with the Japanese fashion designer, Issey Miyake who was known for combining Eastern and Western elements in his work to make clothes from the concept of “ A Piece of Cloth” exploring the relationship between the body and cloth with a new imagination based on the technology-driven designing.
Throughout the experiment of making conceptual work with Miyake Design Studio, Narumi sought insight into the nature.
She is trained to be a field worker to find a way to sustainable agriculture. Now she has a passion for teaching “Nature and Culture” to supporting the community. She is an Agri-anthropologist, Ph.D. Of Agricultural Economy.
